just wanted to hear what some of you though of my current predicament.

Most of you probably know about my current financial situation, most of you are probably in the same position as me anyway.. but for those that don't. I'm currently in the red and sharing a 1 bed flat with my Girlfriend and her best mate. its not ideal and we're looking to move up to a bigger place but at the moment our budget is stretched as tight as it will go.

to remedy this 'm trying to find a new job. i currently have 2 in the pipeline but I'm unsure as to which one i go for if offered.

Job 1 is an internal move within my current company. its a move up from analyst to Senior analyst in the Projects dept who deal with process development, software and solutions development and general in-house nerdiness. its what I've been trying to get into for years and would take me far in my career. it would mean I'd still only have a 10min drive to work and would still have my quite vast network of colleagues and contacts. the facilities here are second to none and I've been happily employed by the company for over 2 years now. the step up could see me a 9% pay-rise but could be 0% due to current budget control thanks to the credit crunch.

Job 2 is an external move to a an investment management company based near London Bridge. the job is also a step up to senior Analyst but is doing what i do now. i don't particularly enjoy my current role, but the new one is more in-depth with regards to the areas it covers. I'd be more involved in client relations, Trade settlements, Corporate actions, fund valuations and eventually would be a people management position. the job would give me a near 26% pay-rise but it would mean travelling to London daily form redhill.

i could use the extra money. god knows it would sort out most of my problems cause i'd have nearly £1k in expendable income left at the end of the month, but i'd also be doing a lot more overtime and wouldn't be getting home until 7pm most nights.

so what do i choose, a job i want with less money, or a job i can do but don't enjoy for lots more money..

thoughts anyone??

well did abit to the polo, thought it was tidy it up a little, so gone are the gash rims replaced with my passat items with new rubber (originals are 13" the passats 14") with Golf Driver trims, tinted the indicators as the originals are sunburnt until i get new ones...

so before

Rear Wiper likely to be removed

Gash paint on every panel - but its a rat its ok

notice they are white...at the moment...

Over all car is very rust free showing 62500kms with receipts to prove, also date of registration is 15/02/83 (so 25 years old) ironic but my birthdays the 15/02/75 and the misses is 15/02/80 spooky eh

I've got a thing for these Yellow bulbs, think its just different to look at..

so for the moment the cars looks like this.

and fitted my stereo so a good use of afew hours, no need to wash and polish the car, as paint is gash too (anyone round these parts want to paint my coupe in turn for advertising) im using the car mainly to advertise the site so will be hopefully going camo green , rallye rep (may of just found another polo which i've keep all the original parts to return to standard but at the moment its i actually want to invest a little into) next planned mods are 60mm lowering kit, the other 10 speakers for the stereo and tints, and lots of stickers etc...it gonna stand out :D

Top ten signs that you're a dubber...

10) Instead of pyjama's with Superman pasted on the front, you have the VW logo.

9) Every time you see a modded VW pass by, you almost rear end the person in front of you.

8) You spend more time on No Rice than you do sleeping.

7) Your idea of a date is to go to your local VW dealer to look around the lot.

6) Your stack of reading material in the bathroom consists of VW related magazines.

5) You've considered selling a kidney to pay for a coilover kit.

4) Your dealer calls you instead of VW UK to get the correct specifications on a VW.

3) Your engine compartment is cleaner than most hospital operating rooms.

2) you decorate your christmas tree with broken window regulators and door lock modules

and the number one sign that you're a dubber is that you actually took the time to read this list to see what applies to you! :)
